It’s a perfect one for you- it’s not horror at all. Apparently, King was fascinated by Kennedy’s assassination and collected all kinds of documentation and research and then wrote this book. It is a what-if novel, as in what would the world be like now if Kennedy had not been killed. It’s really good!

I just realized this is the November read for one of the book clubs in which I participate. I’d better get a copy and get to reading! Now! 🙂 The only King book I have read is The Green Mile. Simply because I loved the movie. And I was so disappointed in the book. I didn’t realize it was originally published in magazine installments. That doesn’t matter except for the fact that when they published the book they simply through all those installments in one format without having King edit so you didn’t get a summary of what had gone before at the beginning of each “chapter”/installment. It made for a disjointed reading experience. I do not read horror since I despise being scared and cannot get such things out of my head. But I will give this one a shot!
