Wasn’t that letter moving? I can’t even imagine what it would be like to be that little girl and having her big brother act that way. I had to post it.

Additionally, there is the whole issue of attack from within. Did you watch The Invisible War? Guaranteed to make you crazy.

This post gave me chills, as did the original review you wrote. Veterans (as are traditional police officers) are tragically under served in the area of mental health. There’s too much pressure to remain ‘the tough guy/gal’ and senior leadership does an abysmal job of destigmatizing the practice of different therapies. Say too much and you’ll lose your clearance (or in the case of civilian police officers, possibly your job.)

Combine that with the difficult situations and horrifying things that these men and women witness on the battlefield and you have a recipe for disaster.

Well done in bringing attention to this extraordinary important issue.
