I just read this and am still very confused about the accuracy. Was there a real person named Kate or a real person whom kate was fashioned after? Was the sneaking around trying to be under the radar regarding Jackie accurate or not? Was there a real Patrick? Was he really a butcher? How much of this is accurate and how much is fiction? I would really like to know. THX

In reply to Wendy @ Wensend. Wendy, I did my own background reading and yes, it is as accurate as can be when so many of the key characters are now dead. Karl Lagerfeld has said it was a Chanel suit and they licensed it.
