The premise of this one doesn’t do a ton for me, but I’ve loved Cunningham’s work before, so I’m always keen to try!

Interesting… And yet… The comparison to Woolf is a little off putting to me. I’ve never connected with her work and it makes me feel like a crappy reader and a worse feminist.

I just finished the book today–gorgeous sentences but steeped in such quiet desperation. A beautiful but melancholic read I need to ponder a bit more before gathering up my review. I think you’re right in suggesting these characters are passively waiting for meaning to arrive, looking out windows or up at the night sky. Not sure how I feel about them yet . . . .
