I’ve heard this is McEwan’s best book in a long time. I hope so. I always pick up his latest book no matter what, but I must admit I haven’t really enjoyed his stuff lately. But inevitably i will give this one a try.

In reply to Cynthia Robertson. I agree! Atonement was one of my least favorite books but I've thoroughly enjoyed his last three novels. He is the master of psychological discomfort!

Gotta try this one. I will always admire McEwan for the supreme discomfort he made me feel in reading On Chesil Beach. It’s a talent!

Sounds great! This is one of the fall releases I am most excited for . . . I think I need to start this soon. The other one I’m very anxious to read is The Paying Guests.
