In reply to Aloi (guiltlessreading). They're so different! I'd start with Interestings because it's for adults. Belzhar is really good YA but may have some aspects adults don't quite get.

I enjoyed this book for the most part, but I felt the same way about Jam… call me hard-hearted, but I did quite a bit of eye-rolling at her.

This sounds so lovely, and I’ve been meaning to read more Wolitzer ever since reading The Interestings. I didn’t realize this one has elements of magical realism, too. Sweet.

I just re-read this and loved it just as much the second time (with the exception of the last few chapters) as I did the first. I’m going to argue for the importance of Jam’s back story tomorrow, but otherwise I’m in total agreement 😉
