Monika, I think you would find Janusz Korczak fascinating. He was so far ahead of his time in his thinking and Shepard really brings that out in the story. Even in the midst of the horror.

Have never heard of him before, but the small piece in the book paints an impressive and loving picture of him, as short as it is.
