A Constellation of Vital Phenomenon is one of my favorite books of all time and this one sounds so similar, I automatically want to pick it up. From your review and several others, I’m hopeful it might even live up to the high expectations set by the comparison 🙂

Great review! I have heard so much about this one. You did a great job illustrating the subtleties that Novic did well with, as well as those she missed just a bit.

The only things I know about the Yugoslavian civil war are what I learned from The Tiger’s Wife a few years ago. This sounds really fantastic!
