Completely agree, though I think I’m usually still glad it’s my choice and I don’t feel that pressure. It also becomes harder and harder just to read something without the reviewer’s eye. Not as bad as having the editor’s eye, but still irksome sometimes. Can’t wait to dig into this one!

I have had experience with individuals who struggle with mental illness and it is heart wrenching; family members are left feeling both helpless and defenseless and the individuals who suffer with the illness feel misunderstood and unsupported. This sounds like a very accurate portrayal and the element of fiction has a fresh appeal. Thank you for sharing this one!
