In reply to Eva. That's why reading your review helped me put it in perspective. I would say that it's not the sex that's uncomfortable, it's the discussion of all the rest of it- I really am not interested in men's cleaning rituals before they have sex. Actually, not so interested in women's either, so it may just be me!

I’m discovering that this is a genre that I also totally love.
Thanks for the post shout out – your review definitely gave me some things to think about. I do think that the generational divide is a big part of it. Mine are sharers- we talk about everything, we live most of our lives quite publicly. I was in university when Facebook became a thing, when it was ONLY for university students. That social media sharing ends up spilling into our real lives. I don’t even pretend like I don’t already know something I saw on Facebook from someone I haven’t spoken to in years.
I think too, sex isn’t uncomfortable for us. But real intimacy? Hugs? Those are tricky.
We’re a mess! Alam sees it.

I recently saw Anton on her book tour for The After Party. I told her that we (in the blogging world) use the term “rich people behaving badly” for these books, and several of us love them! She loved the term and said she may use it to describe her books in the future.
