It’s nowhere near as serious as Lovely Bones. It is a much lighter book- what with the wanting to find a wife for her husband. It’s really good entertainment.

I feel guilty already. I have had a bit of trouble with the “hovering dead people” kind of books before, such as Alice Sebold’s The Lovely Bones, which sort of creeped me out. It’s definitely not angsty, but does have a twist. Fabiaschi is not heavy-handed in any way. It’s strong entertainment.

I know there are other ghost-hanging-around stories, but I think all the others I’m aware of involve teens. This book seems like it might be more complex and less angsty, although that might be me unfairly maligning YA.
