The writing was definitely what kept me from letting go of this book. I added her previous novel to my TBR because the plot sounds right up my alley!

Interesting! I love it different perceptions! This is when I really miss a book club. I felt like she wanted his safety and security (via money) at first, but that she did fall in love. That’s why I thought the beginning was stereotypical but by the end it was more real.

I didn’t see her as using Jamey for a step up in life. I felt like she truly fell for him and her love at first sight for him was her main motivation. In many ways it seemed like Jamey was much more damaged than Elise. Either way, I loved the book and Libaire’s writing. Like Sarah, I highlighted A LOT!
