You’re right about Rushdie. I love the way he uses language, but his last was not that good. Hopefully, this is reading redemption.

So glad to know I can relax into Ward. I don’t know why I haven’t read her before. Too many books in the world, I guess!

I’ve just begun George & Lizzie and I think I’m really going to like it – yay! Also, highly recommend the Ward; I was blown away and I’d never read any of her previous work. I, too, am super-excited about The Golden House; hoping it meets/exceeds my expectations, but that is always tricky. 😉 I think we may be in luck with the Ng; I’ve read/heard great things, so far, and I can hardly wait!

The way you categorized your fall books is great and makes me think of them a little differently. We overlap on three books. I finished The Good People (so many different covers on that one) a couple days ago and liked it, but wasn’t blown away. I also really liked Sing, Unburied, Sing and think you will, too. It’s a weighty story, but beautifully told. White Oleander was a book I loved, but 800 pages on this one? I’m happy to let you vet it for me! I’ve never read Rushdie, so may need to give The Golden House a try.
