so that made me less enticed. Per your comments on it: I think I will pass it by. hmm I like Rushdie sticking it to Trump though — or sticking it to America?

In reply to Susie | Novel Visits. It's a mental wade because the book is only 380 pages long. He writes so beautifully but it should have been two books- one fiction and one non-fiction.

Hmmm, the idea of reading a 380 page book that feels like 800 pages doesn’t appeal. But then that paragraph and knowing how beautifully Rushdie writes, makes me think it might be worth the battle.

I loved the quote you included…so spot on for America today! It’s too bad Rushdie’s story was mired in too much detail and cakewalks from the real story. The basic premise sounds wonderful, but I just couldn’t wade through the extra 400 pages!
