It's one of those books that is depressing, but necessary. I think twice about anything I buy now- do I really need it?

Looks like I'm adding more books to the TBR! I've only just started to think about the amount of clothing that goes back out of our house every year and what becomes of it so Overdressed is right up my alley right now.

It's depressingly good (and not too long!). We don't even think about it anymore, but how many clothes do we need? I stay out of stores as much as possible anymore.

Wow, Susie, one more thing we have in common! Whoredom was difficult, mostly because it made me so angry. Now might not be a good time to read it. It does seem as if many books set in Ireland reflects negatively on the Church- I don't think it is a coincidence.

Well, I've added Whoredom in Kimmage to my list. It is shocking how much life in Ireland has changed in a short time. I love that John Boyne doesn't hold back at all.

Excellent pairings!

This is the second time today I've seen The Heart's Invisible Furies mentioned in a blog post, and I'd never heard of it before. Might be a sign I should put it on my list!

Whoredom in Kimmage sounds really interesting, but hard to read. As you know I've read several books set in Ireland this year (which I usually try to avoid) and the Catholic church has played so heavily in all of them. Growing up Catholic, I had a hard time with the hypocrisy and as a teen cut ties with the church. I'm not sure I could read it, but am intrigued.

Love the Fitness Junkie pairings, too!
