I have heard a few grumbles about the utilization of the letter-writing in the novel; however, I struggle to think of another way in which the author might have presented this key exchange between the couple. I loved this novel SO MUCH; I had a tough time moving on, after I finished reading it.

After reading your review, I feel like I might have been a little harsh on my judgement of the letters section. Perhaps they were necessary. I just wish Roy’s hadn’t gotten so preachy. I grew to not like him during that section, but the rest of the book I thought he was great. (Perhaps that was the point?) Anyway, great review and thank you for making me think!
