In reply to Madeline. I agree on all counts. I liked The Wife Between Us better than this one. And I don't know why I always give in and keep reading thrillers. Maybe because when you do find a great one it's so rewarding?

I liked Anonymous Girl a lot better than The Stranger Inside. The later got rather ridiculous in some many ways. That said, I much preferred Hendricks/Pekkanen’s first book (The Wife Between Us). Which — for me — is so often the case: the debut is the best and the author(s) can’t top their first effort.

I’ve read a lot of thrillers this year too. I usually try to limit them, they’re so tempting but so often disappoint!

That premise makes me nutty too …. if a guy was in my house, I’d send in the bomb squad, ha. I have trouble with those plots where everything is going wrong & falling apart. It feels stressful eh? I’ll go for the massive pile-up instead.
