Oh no, are you going through major relocation or move to new house in same area? Is the end in sight? My tunnel is just beginning and is incredibly frustrating. I'd like just one thing to go the way it was supposed to.

Thankfully, Louise Penny brought me back and now, in the same way you eat gently after the flu, I'm easing into historical fiction with Melanie Benjamin. And it's going down well!

I did- at 30%. What a waste of a great premise.

Does she have a southern accent? I liked the book, but felt a lot of it had nothing to do with the South.

That one make me laugh out loud, because why not compare pot to tennis and veggies for health benefits?!

Ha! That sentence about pot and veggies & tennis sounds like a plan to me. I will stay away from The Spectators. Thx for these minis.

I listened to Southern Lady Code and think it increased my liking of the book. She read it herself and everything about it just felt so authentic and funny coming from Helen.

The Spectators...ugh! How did you not DNF it?

Catherine, I am with you in this struggle! I'm also in the middle of a move, and the stress of it (among other things) is making it so hard to focus and find just the right thing to read. And I know I need to read to ease some of this stress! I'm enjoying Ask Again, Yes--not light topically, but easy enough reading. I may need to back away from new books for a while and read some that have been thoroughly vetted until I'm through this.

Anyway, luck to you--hope the waiting ends soon!
