I get it. Normally, I’m the same way. If you were to loosen that rule, I’d say go with The Dearly Beloved because it’s more about faith- which is different. It’s a beautiful character study.

Kind of disappointed at the religion angle. I have to admit, books that center on religion really don’t interest me. It’s also why the other title, which is being so heavily praised, including here, is not on my list. It’s silly, but you gotta winnow the list somehow and that seems to be one of my bugaboos. Thanks for this great review.
