I’m glad you had a good month. I also read Queenie in December and I’m not sure I was the right audience for it …. the first half was rough but I’m glad she gets some help and turns better by the end.

In reply to Gayle Weiswasser. I don't know how it happened, but in both Nov and Dec I read more books than any other month. Part of it is that many were shorter. I didn't plan it, but I didn't see as many big books from fall onward.

In reply to Susie | Novel Visits. If it helps The Gifted School spends very little time on either the educational aspects or actually being in school. It's everything else and it's a bit crazy. Just what I needed!

My favorite book that I read in December was Bringing Down the Duke, a historical romance of all things, not my usual genre! But I loved it.

I’m so glad you had such a wonderful reading month. That’s how I was feeling in the summer when everything seemed to be working. I also DNF’d Refuge once upon a time and The Gifted School is another I’ve been curious about, but always get hung up on the school thing. (Too close to home!)
