In reply to Tina. Thank you! You should try it- it's much less jarring than Reckless Oath. She's just a bit more stilted than you expect in casual conversation. It's a great novel.

Isn’t it a coincidence that these two recent books use knights & vikings … taken up by characters with disorders. I guess it’s an interesting way to highlight their uniqueness & hidden smarts.

Great review! As soon as I saw this , it reminded me a bit of The Reckless Oath We Made. Loved that one, so I think I will give Vikings a try.

I’m so glad we both liked When We Were Vikings! All the Viking talk did take a little getting used to, but in the end it was just who Zelda was and I came to love her character.
