Thanks for giving us the lowdown on what this book is about. I had seen it around but didn’t really know … whaaaa? it was about … an anonymous memoir (unique!) … I’m going to try following her on Twitter for awhile. I never got a hold of the Gottlieb book — wow that was in high demand …. am I still number 326 at the Library from pre-pandemic? I think I want to read Gottlieb and Smacked perhaps first. Sound pretty hard hitting. Enjoy your week.

In reply to Susie | Novel Visits. I think you would because at it's heart it's about how one woman copes with devastating circumstances in her life. I just find Duchess' wordplay to be such a delight. If this one doesn't sound quite right try Smacked. I cannot believe how good it is. It's going to be another 5 stars from me. Totally bizarre- I have more 5 star nonfiction than fiction so far this year!

You’ve mentions Duchess Goldblatt to me before, but I admit I’ve not looked into her for myself. Now I’m completely intrigued. If I’m not a follower of Duchess Goldblatt, would I still enjoy the memoir? I haven’t read many memoirs this year and could use a good one. Your five stars are a ringing endorsement!
