Somehow this comment got stuck in a filter so I didn’t see it until today. Sorry! I simply can’t get my head around 900 pages right now so I haven’t started the Follett. If you were ready to read it I can tell you that you don’t need to have read Pillars of the Earth. In fact, according to my mother (who’s going to question their mother!), the two are far enough apart in time that you can read each on its own.

I enjoyed all of it except chapter 5. Haha. (I think that was the one) Really fun story though.

I’ve got the Follet one on my wish list, but I’ve not read him before, and I realise this one is a prequel. When you read it, let me know if I can jump in there, or if I need to read the other.
