I think I meant to read Shiner when it came out then I didn’t get to it. I like these rugged settings. It appears from her memoir synopsis that Amy Jo Burns grew up in a small town in Pennsylvania … old strip mines … uh-oh. PS. I really liked your episodes on Sarah’s podcast recently … excellent fun & informative.

Wonderful review! I love that you describe the woman as the novel’s abundance. Is this contemporary or set in the past?

I look forward to your Monday book reviews. I enjoyed reading your review. I’ll put it on my tbr list at the library probably won’t be able to get it until January though. I have ancestors that come from West Virginia, so that interests me in reading about characters from that part of our country.
