Hey, I don’t want to mention any spoilers here but I just finished the book (which was a drag) and I didn’t get that last scene in Ava’s house, with Dawn and the book. I haven’t read the other books by Dolan-Leach and saw that Ava was in Dead Letters, do you think I could understand that last scene if I read it (since it seems to be way better)?

I give a book 60ish pages, if it’s not holding my attention then I stop reading. Also if I think a book will get below 3 stars I stop.
It’s a shame but it sometimes does happen that we stop liking authors.
Onwards to finding great authors to read.
