In reply to Monika. There are simply too many amazing WWII novels out there and this one can't compete. Use your time to read Skeletons at the Feast or The Book Thief if you want to be swept away.

The Paris Architect sounds so promising, but from what I’ve heard from you and Shannon, I’m thinking I’ll feel the same way…

I love anything that is even a bit punny, so I appreciate “Vintage Attraction has the grounds for good romantic comedy but doesn’t bear fruit”. I’m a little sad about that one though, I had been interested in it. I think I’ll skip it now, there are too many other good books to read. I like the mini-review format too. It tells you all you need to know with delving too deeply into a mediocre book.

Wow, you managed to write so much more than I could muster about The Paris Architect. It was such a disappointment for me because it had SO much potential, but it just felt lost in the iffy writing for me.
