Beautiful review. The descriptor “sweet and sour” really hit home with me. Sounds like a great book!

Thank you- you’re too kind! My only goal is to help people find great books to read so if my writing helps even better!

Quick read as well, Shannon! You’ll knock it out in an afternoon.

I’m a bit of a sucker for unlikable, crotchety characters, so this could be a story that works for me.

Had this one for a while (I’m in the UK) and your excellent review has finally spurred me on to read it, finally. I mainly – but not exclusively – review crime on my blog, and at ShinyNewBooks.com.

I’m not sure I’ll have time to get to it, but sounds like it was a nice surprise for you.
