I don’t want to read further than this perfect sentiment “Old enough to know there is more out there but young enough to have no idea what it is.” But I did read the rest of this and it sounds really good. And Sarah’s comment is strong as well. I like books where so much happens and nothing really at the same time.

I’m 7% away from finishing this one. And there are just so many cringe-worthy moments! Like when I’m yelling in my head….NO, BAD IDEA, DON’T! But, the train is already hurtling too fast and can’t be stopped.

And I think one of McKeon’s major strengths…and why this book works…is her ability to create heart-stopping intensity out of feelings and emotions rather than action.
