In reply to Eva @ The Paperback Princess. I know! It feels very wrong to say 'Oh, I wish it was just a serial killer', but that's kind of how I felt. It ended up being like the Denzel Washington movie Fallen, which was fine, but not necessary.

I was totally into this until I read the part about the fairy tale angle. I’m not sure that I’m ready to try more fantasy reading, especially in the middle of a heart-pounding thriller. I love these kinds of books (something I’m struggling with right now, on the heels of books like Missoula) but the fantasy thing…otherwise, this would have so been up my alley. A single sitting read, at home, alone at night! You are brave.

Oh, my! I’m not sure how sickly this makes me sound, but I like the sound of this one. Anything that will get my “thriller” adrenaline pumping early on is one I want to read because that just doesn’t happen often, anymore.

OMG – this book does NOT sound like you! But, it does sound completely engrossing until you mentioned an old fairy tale, a magical maiden, etc. Ha!
