Taming of the Queen is good, but depressing as hell- that being an intelligent woman at that time was so dangerous. Why don’t we hear more in non-fiction about these men and their brutality?

It does have a Devil Wears Prada vibe to it. A fun read, sharper than I expected it to be when I started it.
I’m right there with you on Gregory. There was a time when I was frustrated by her work but still kept reading it. I think she turned a corner with The King’s Curse. I have The Taming of the Queen on the shelf – need to read it one of these days. Then it will be time for the latest one!
