Yet somehow I was still looking forward to this new one. Is he going to be one of those authors who entrances and yet doesn’t satisfy with wrapping things up?

Well, restructure yes, but I think we also both agreed we couldn’t quite buy the ‘why’ for what Matthew did. As a novel it was so close, but not quite there.

Grist Mill Road was flawed for sure, but overall I still enjoyed the book. I always wanted to get back to the story. So, far there have been too many so-so books in January. I’m still waiting for that book to completely knock my socks off. (Let me know if you find it first.)
