I’m beginning to think it’s just the nature of reading as much as I do. I should look at my stats and see what % I have of 1, 2, 3, etc star books. I probably don’t read that many dreadful books it just feels like it.

Oh Lord, I almost wish you would read The Girlfriend because I could sit back and watch you explode on social media about it. I don’t live to slam books, but if I quote a sentence from a bad book, then you know it was sub-par.

In reply to Susie | Novel Visits. Interesting! It didn't help, but ultimately the story and writing were not good. Mixed bag is the right word. I wonder if that's just the way of it anymore? That we read so much it's not possible for everything to be 4-5 stars.

In reply to Ellison. I wonder if it I would have stuck with it longer in print? I generally don't have a problem with multiple timelines and plots, but I simply did not care enough about several of the stories. Now you've got me wondering!

Too bad about the Windermere novel. The critic at The Post gave it 5 stars but I’m not going to pick it up if it’s just confusing. I have a hard enough time following stuff without it skipping around. Still I’m curious. Here’s to a better February publishing month …

Oh, good god, thank you for the tip on The Girl Friend, that would drive me batshit crazy(er). Sorry 2018 hasn’t started off better for you, I hope that picks up. Mine started pretty well and has lagged a bit, but still doing pretty well. I’m waiting on the second Louise Penny from the library, but look forward to catching up on those with you.
