This sounds like just another so-so one. I feel like Melanie Benjamin is one of those authors who has started turning out a book every year and the quality is suffering as a result of that.

The Nazis basically made the Ritz their HQ in Paris. Blanche’s husband was the director of the hotel and yes, while they were forced to serve the Nazis as guests they were working for the Resistance.
