Hhhmmmm. You are the most literary reader I know and the most receptive to unusual concepts and plot devices so I think you would enjoy this one. It is extravagant in its premise and reads odd for a lot of it, but it’s well done. That probably didn’t help much! Did you like Bunny? Because if you made it through Bunny and enjoyed it then this will be a cakewalk.

It’s what’s in her head that is fevered. I didn’t even like that novel- I could NOT understand it, so it’s not a device I like. Somehow, Acampora tread close but not over the line. Maybe save it as extra reading when you don’t have a lot of other books to read?

It’s funny you say that, because the “fever dream” part is what gives me the most pause. I love the weird, but I’m often more miss than hit with the fever dream arc.
