Oh no! I’m sure you’re not losing your mind, but I read this so long ago I have no idea what happened at the end. I reread my review, though, and I said I had no idea what happened so maybe that was on purpose? We’re not meant to know?

If Miracle Creek is rough for you, then I think this would be too much. She writes it so real. I don’t have children, but there were moments when I thought ‘how would any parent survive this?’.

I think it depends on your mood. It wasn’t as difficult as other novels I’ve read about complicated issues, but it did make me think. It just doesn’t seem like a summer release!

Normally I might read it, but I have some dear friends who lost their daughter and since then I’ve been assigned a couple of books that deal with a child dying and I don’t even feel right posting about it for fear they will see it. It’s silly, because it’s not like they would be “reminded” of her death, they can’t escape the fact, but I just can’t see clear to doing it. I suppose I could read this just for me, but really, what are the odds of that? I’m going to add it to the list, however.
