I liked The Falconer and The Dearly Beloved. My favorite debut of 2019 was Fleishman Is in Trouble. I also liked My Sister the Serial Killer (a debut in 2018 I read this year), Severance (a debut in 2018 I read this year), and A Prayer for Travelers. For whatever reason or my own reasons … I did not care for Miracle Creek … but I’m one of the few.
