I did go with shorter books which helped, but it was because I couldn’t focus the way I usually do. Glad to be back to normal (as normal as I get!).

I’m married, but no kids and I did feel as if her story related to women on a lot of levels. She just got a bit too mystical towards the end.

I think it may have been the wrong time for me with The World- I couldn’t keep anything straight and so, while I loved the individual stories I lost track of their place in the whole.

The Avery story was a throwaway. I was fascinated by the children’s lives and wish she’d just stuck with them.

At first I didn’t think I was going to like it, but her unusual story eventually captured me. I DNF’d Before We Were Yours a while back. For me the Avery timeline was just too full of unlikely coincidences and more or less ruined the other timeline for me.
