In reply to susan. The Mountains Sing was very good and taught me so much about Vietnam that I never knew. I just started Glass Hotel and am not sure what I think. It's difficult because Station Eleven was gripping from page 1. This is much slower. I also feel as if I need to reread Station Eleven with what's going on!

Yes 3 of these are on my March list too! The Mountains Sing, The Glass Hotel and Valentine! I also want to read Writers & Lovers by Lily King. These reads should help us get through this pandemic March. Days of Distraction also sounds worthwhile. Stay safe there!

I’m almost done with Valentine and I have loved it. The book was not at all what I expected, but it GETS the women stuck in West Texas in the mid-70’s. Beautiful writing, too. I’ve been listening to The Glass Hotel and with only an hour left in it, I’m still not sure what I think. It definitely isn’t as impressive as Station Eleven, but has held my interest and I feel like there may be something coming at the end to surprise me. I’m anxious to hear your thoughts on Untamed.

I’ve pre-ordered The Glass Hotel so I’m excited about that!
Days of Distraction looks appealing too.

And I’m on hold for Untamed at the library. I don’t know exactly when I’ll be reading any of these – I have SO MUCH checked out right now and I’m halfway through my Classics Club book for March.
