Amen. Somehow the independence we take pride in as a country has come to mean the individual only. We have no unity. It starts at the top and, as evidenced last night in South Dakota, the person who should be leading is only interested in throwing gasoline on the fire and burning it down.

I have two bookish friends who really liked The Second Home so maybe give it a shot? My taste is as chaotic as the country right now. Things that normally work, don’t and vice versa.

I’m trying very hard not to think about what happens if the path doesn’t change. We’re in trouble.
