I'm exactly the same way. I read The Heir Affair after this and loved it, but now I'm reading Utopia Avenue and it requires real concentration. It's not dark, but it's David Mitchell, so I have to pay attention. It's worth it, but I feel the pull for something that requires less effort.

I've never read A Room with a View, but now I want to read it and Kevin Kwan's book! I'm not sure when I'll be done with my need for summer fun reading--it may last through winter--and this sounds perfect. Also, I keep powering through heavier books--so many feel essential right now--so I definitely need great light ones to alternate.
