It was a fantastic experience, even if the results have only more clearly highlighted how broken America is.

I'm actually thinking I need to read more. Too much time spent at the computer being unproductive and doom scrolling!

I’m so glad to see you had a similar experience with Earthlings, I loved Convenience Store Woman too but the further I got in to Earthlings the crazier it got. It made me really uncomfortable.

Unlike you I didn't care for Convenience Store Woman, so glad I didn't even bother with Earthlings. Sorry it didn't hold up for you. I'm glad I checked out this post because it reminded me to put a hold on Homeland Elegies. Thanks!

It's good you are volunteering as a ballot counter. Thank you for doing so! I'm pretty much a wreck for the past week ... but I'm holding out hope ... like there's no tomorrow ... because well you know ... there's no alternative. We can't give in ... to bigots & idiots & non-science believers, NO! My sister-in-law in Michigan was sorry to miss seeing Obama & Biden who made a surprise visit to her Unitarian church over the wknd. Oh MY. she is still talking about it ... but she saw Doug Emhoff the next day.
Glad you vetted White Ivy for me ... I just put that on my Nov. Preview post / TBR list. Also had Homeland Elegy on my Sept. Preview ... so thanks for vetting that one too. You read a lot ... but I think I let my distractions get to me ... hmm
