In reply to Susan. It is, but I love novels like The Road. It's simply felt too possible. It begins in 2030 which is not far off. And humans keep fighting and making stupid dangerous mistakes. My imagination is crazy enough, I had to set it aside. I'll go back, though.

In reply to Susan. I hear you! Costco was out and now we're in the storm, roads closed, etc and I've been drinking nothing but water for 2 days. If I have to hike to the gas station I'm getting some Diet Coke tomorrow.

In reply to Laila. That was my problem. I can listen to and watch 9/11 stories now, but I still tear up. We're still dealing with this virus so a novel set in 2030? Saying it gets worse? I'm not mentally stable enough for that right now.

Good reading here! I’m curious about How High We Go in the Dark but I’m unsure if I can handle it.

My favorite book this month was Four Thousand Weeks: Time management for Mortals by Oliver Burkeman.
