I don’t think of it as historical fiction because nothing about it is true. It’s a fantasy of black magic that happens to be set in the past.

I liked her other book, The Chosen and the Beautiful better.

I would think with the book being set in the 1920’s it would be the later.
Between the setting and slow pace, and the 3 stars the book doesn’t sound like it would be for me.
