If you're going into Lawrence Osborne's backlist The Unforgiven is far and away my favorite of his novels.

Trying to stay positive but the fact that someone like Herschel Walker could get to a run-off is scary. "We're the best country in the United States." How is that fit for office?

I look forward to listening to the podcast episodes with you! And yeah I also read and reviewed On Java Road and liked it. This novel was my first Lawrence Osborne read and I plan to keep his other books on my radar. His overseas stories seem very astute.
ps. So glad that the Dems kept the Senate ! Pleased to have denied many of the election deniers!

Thank you! You are under a lot of stress. I think the chaos of the last 4-5 years has left us all exhausted. Sadly, I don't see it changing.

I hope you can find some great reading!

My reading volume in October was low compared with other years. Right now I'm averaging about 4 to 5 books a month. Lots of family stress, some of it good like anxiously awaiting the birth of my grandson, and some bad, my dad's physical health and mental health is bad and getting worse. All that plays on my ability to concentrate, and my enjoyment of the books I do read.
So while I like the books I read in October none were particularly memorable.
You write your reviews when you feel like it. I appreciate them and you.
