Still About Books

December 24, 2012

This is such a busy time of year for everyone and while I still get to read every day I’m not sure all of you have the time for it so I’m beginning the week without a review but with a little eye candy for anyone who loves books–and really if you didn’t you wouldn’t be here right?

I chose both of these photos because they evoke the same childlike wonder of Christmas.  Who didn’t grow up thinking if they just pressed the right panel, pushed the correct door, or pulled the little lever, they would be transported away on a magical adventure? It may never have happened to me in real life but every time I read the right books it does. Happy holidays everyone.

As if this gorgeous room filled with books isn’t enough it has a secret passage!

A fabulous library that leads to your own secret tea room. Choose a book and settle with a lovely drink and some treats.

Thanks for the updates Cathy. I love the pictures of the library with the hidden room. What a great escape! Happy New Year! I look forward to The Gilmore Guide to Books for 2013.
