Nirvana or Nightmare?

January 19, 2013

nirvana
From Improbables Librairies, Improbables Bibliothèques

This looks like nirvana to me, minus a comfortable chair, but what do you think? Exciting? Intimidating? In desperate need of organization? Or hoarder?

Definitely a hoarder. The books are stacked willy-nilly and it is obvious there is no order to things. (A librarian’s nightmare, for sure! 🙂 ) Some of the books appear to be carelessly tossed on a pile with their spines cracked wide open – makes my teeth hurt to even look! Tidy the stacks up a lot, putting them spine-side out so you can at least read the title, add a comfy wing-back chair or one of those lovely library chairs where you lean back and sink contentedly into deep cushions; add an ottoman to put your feet up, a small table with a cup, saucer and pot of tea and top it all off with a cozy fire and you’d have to drag me kicking and screaming from the room..

OK, OK, you’re right, Ali. It could be made much more charming but still…all those books waiting to be read! What an adventure.
