Sunday Sentence: Want Not

December 1, 2013

Sunday Sentence: The best sentence(s) from this week, out of context and without commentary. Inspired by David Abrams at The Quivering Pen.

want not
Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, November 2013

Could memories be like works of art, the great ones hung beneath metal halide lighting on stark museum walls, for daily straightening and dusting, while the shoddy ones were abandoned to attics, yard sales, to that unheeded space above the headboards in off-ramp motel rooms?

This book. I want to dig back through it and pull out all the gems like this, but it could potentially take forever!

A bit challenging in its honesty but ultimately well worth reading.

    Oooo, that’s a good one.
You made me want to read this book with your review of it. Shamed to say I haven’t ever read anything of his yet. I aim to remedy that in 2014.

She fell really hard for this book. I liked it but it was a bit too gritty for me in some parts.

Great quote. It’s beautiful. And I also love the bookcover. 🙂
