This is a very interesting reading week for me. For the first time in several months I don’t have any upcoming releases I plan on reading. I’ve finished with October and there is nothing in November until the middle of the month. All of which means I’m left to my own devices—which could be a good thing or a not-so good thing, depending on how I choose. Do I go with ... Read More...
Ten Long Books: Hits and Misses
For a lot of people, a book’s page count is enough to make or break the decision on whether to read or not. Not for me—I’m one of those book freaks who loves a book that counts as strength training every time you lift and lower it. August Reading Wrap-Up
Where did this summer go?! I’m pretty sure I lost the month of July completely. August was a bit better and for my reading as well. I had three books I absolutely loved, but did struggle with finding the right blend of reading. I had a streak of intense, timely novels that mirrored reality too closely and left me drained. An occupational hazard, I guess! Of course, next month ... Read More...
What I’m Reading Now (8/20/18)
Hosted by Kathryn at Book Date To say that last week knocked me on my reading butt is an understatement. I began the week trying to recover from a reading hangover and foolishly stuck with a book that did me no good. Worse, I finished it, making it a 'hate read'- because I knew it was not a good book, but was determined to see it through (I have no idea why). By midweek I ... Read More...
